The company “LAGRANT” has been working in the field of extraction, processing, and sale of natural stone from Ukrainian deposits for over twenty years.

It is a company with a rich history and a promising future. The enterprise’s beginnings date back to 1998 when its founder, the eminent expert in mining engineering, Igor Ivanovich Smelkovsky, invested a part of his soul to ensure that Ukrainian granite would remain relevant not only in Ukraine but also in different countries around the world.

In 2006, the company obtained a license for the extraction of gabbro, a black, fine-grained granite from the Yurievskoye (Bukinsky) deposit.

From that period onward, our team embarked on a great journey in the granite business industry.

The type of blanks and products that can be obtained largely depends on the extraction method.

There are several methods of extracting gabbro natural stone. The most cost-effective and common method is the use of controlled explosives to break the stone layers.

Although this method is the most affordable and widely used, we do not employ it in our quarry.

The reason is that this method leads to inefficient quarry development and results in the extraction of large blocks with numerous cracks, chips, and microcracks. This significantly affects the quantity and quality of the obtained products.

Most of our products require the stone blocks to be intact, without scratches, cracks, or chips. Therefore, we prefer to extract the stone using a different, more gentle method.

After the stone is extracted from the quarry, it is sent to a specialized processing workshop.

The blocks are loaded onto transport and transported to the workshops. In the workshops, they are unloaded, and the work begins.

Various products are obtained from rough, uncut stone blocks, such as paving stones, slabs of different sizes and shapes, curbstones, countertops, balusters, slabs, cornices, windowsills, memorials, steps, spheres, fountains, and more.
